Merging Lingual Enzymes

Ellie Home - Merging Lingual Enzymes (clay and oil on canvas, 10inches x 12 inches)

A mix of painting and clay, canvas and sculpture, ‘Merging Lingual Enzymes’ explores sensuality and sexuality through the sharing of bodies and bodily fluids. The human figure becomes shared and combined over and over in this piece, from the largest forms to the smallest. All genderless and vaguely beastly, the subjects of ‘Merging Lingual Enzymes’ rest wholly in the fluidity of Ellie’s practice. Mocking the binaries of humanism by refusing to conform, the phallocentric bodies build a world from their perverse pink biology to suggest we are all much closer to our DNA and each other than we believe.
